3 words that best describe our Employee in the Spotlight this week: happy, hard working and always thirsty.  Let us tell you more about our Omaha born Fitter man, Adam Reese.  Adam started at DWS 5 years ago as a welder and has moved on up to the Fitter position where he  puts all the pieces on the columns and beams and prepares it for the welders.  We asked Adam, “What do you like best about your job?”  He said, “I like seeing the end result of projects.  I like driving by projects and saying that I have been a part of it.”

What you may not know about Adam is that he coached and played roller and ice hockey since he was just 3 years old.  He taught roller skating lessons at age 6 and participated in roller hockey competitions where he rocked it.  Not only did he play hockey, he also played select basketball, wrestling, football, ultimate frisbee and started playing drums at age 9.

His summers as a kid were spent traveling with his family to Europe where his Grandpa used to run a bicycle tour in Germany.  He would go with him and help run the tours in Austria and Germany.  He started going on tour when he was 10 years old and went there a total of 7 times.

Nowadays, Adam spends his time golfing and volunteering his time as a Mason & Shriner.  He tells us that being a shriner helps you become a better man and doing good in the community.  He volunteers about 15 - 40 hours per week helping to raise money for the Shriners Hospital.  The Shriner Hospital helps children, burn victims and spinal injuries.  The reason it’s a big deal for Adam is because they try to raise enough money so it doesn’t cost the families a thing.  He also tells us that he really likes to help people and feels it’s very rewarding.  Wow.  We think this is quite remarkable!

Friends, not only is Adam our Employee in the Spotlight, but today is his birthday.  Please give this posting a round of likes to wish Adam a "Happy Birthday!" Congrats, Adam!
