“I love what I do and the people I work with”, says our Fitter Technician, John Dimon. After 36 years of fitting/welding work, we think John was born to weld. And what a fantastic job he does!

As a DWS Fitter Technician, John spends his day “making big tinker toys”, assembling components of a building and reading & interpreting drawings. His most favorite part of his job is seeing projects completed and being able to drive around town & see what he has been a part of. Definitely rewarding!

We asked him to best describe himself. He says, “Hard worker, reliable, consistent.” If you know John, you would agree!

He grew up as a farm boy in Council Bluffs & moved to Omaha in 1986. He has been married to his wife, Diane for 21 years and they have 2 boys. John’s hobbies outside of work include being a free mason & watching the UNO Mavericks hockey.

John shared with us an amazing secret talent of his. He is a Morris dancer, an old English folk dance. He started performing with a team at the age of 29 at Renaissance Fair’s and danced for an incredible 17 years.

Lastly, we asked John, “Who would you most like to meet and why?” His response, “Jimmy Carter. I think he’s a very outstanding human being, has chosen kindness & compassion as his guiding principles.” And what great principles to live by. We thank John for being our Employee in the Spotlight. Friends, comment and like this posting to congratulate John Dimon!
